About Us
ESAE NYC was created with one simple mission: to spark a joyful, meaningful connection to Korean language and culture—without the pressure of a typical 학원.
We believe kids learn best when they’re engaged, relaxed, and having fun. That’s why our pop-up classes are designed more like cultural workshops than classrooms. Picture cozy rugs instead of desks, music and snacks instead of textbooks, and hands-on activities that bring Korean to life.
Each 5-session program blends Korean language with snacks, music, games, and storytelling. Students learn real vocabulary, express themselves in Korean, and explore their identity and heritage—whether they’re just starting or already speak some Korean at home.
Founded by a small team of educators, artists, and community leaders in New York, ESAE NYC is our way of preserving and passing on culture in a way that feels joyful, modern, and alive.
We’re not just teaching Korean. We’re helping students live it.
Our mission is to foster love of Korean culture in our students, through immersive lesson plans and environments.
"I wanted to create a space where kids could reconnect with their Korean roots in the most joyful way—through music, food, language, and laughter. This class is about rekindling that spark."
— Aiden Han, Program Director of ESAE NYC
